Yugoslavia World Cup football team 1990

--- CONTENT ---
The Yugoslav football team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 1990 World Cup by Argentina at the shots in goal (3-2), after playing ten from the start. She had previously finished second in her group behind the FRG (inaugural defeat against the FRG, then victory against Colombia and the United Arab Emirates) and then defeated Spain in the eighth final.

This is the last appearance in the World Cup and in a major final phase of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (the team is excluded from the euro 1992 due to the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and suspended). However, several young players of the team will later shine in other colours (Prosinečki, Jarni, Bokšić and Šuker for Croatia, and Montenegrin Savićević and Serbian Stojković, still in the colours of Yugoslavia, but now become Federal Republic around Serbia and Montenegro).
