Zacharia (Greek: Ζαχαρία) is an abandoned Turkish Cypriot village in the Paphos District of Cyprus, located approximately 4 kilometers south of Lysos.
History
Following the events of 1974, Turkish Cypriots were forced to emigrate to northern Cyprus, resulting in the abandonment of the village. According to the statistical service of the Republic of Cyprus, as of 2001, the village had no inhabitants.
Location and Geography
The village is situated in the Paphos County, approximately 4 kilometers south of Lysos. The exact location of Zacharia is within the Baf accident area, which was affected by the displacement of Turkish Cypriots after 1974.
Demographics
As of the last available data from the statistical service of the Republic of Cyprus in 2001, the village had no inhabitants. There are no records of any residents or population figures for Zacharia since its abandonment.
