In July 1996, Mitraković left NK Koper and joined NK HIT Gorica, where he played for four years, making 106 appearances. He then attempted to establish himself in Belgium at KSC Lokeren from January 2000 but returned to Slovenia after failing to secure a foothold in the first division.

In spring 2010, Mitraković moved to ND Triglav Kranj, where he played a crucial role in his team's promotion to the Slovenska Nogometna League. He then returned to NK Bela krajina but left after just six months due to personal reasons and signed with NK Roltek Dob.
In January 2012, Mitraković moved from NK Dob to FC Großklein in Austria at the age of 39. Throughout his career, Mitraković earned seven appearances for the Slovenian national team between 1998 and 2004.
