Moldova participated in Eurovision 18 times from joining the 2005 contest.

From the first part, he was able to reach a high achievement when he reached the sixth place with the song "Bunika Bate Toba" performed by the band Zdob şi Zdub. The song reached the final stage after finishing two in the semifinals. Moldova was unable to recover success from the first year of its participation in the contest, and it reached the 20th place in the 2006 Eurovision final. She was automatically qualifying for the final position she received in 2005, but the song "Loca" couldn't impress the audience, and she ended the vote with 22 points.
