Summary of Octavia
Škoda Octavia (1959 - 1971)
Škoda Octavia, the first of its kind, was launched in 1959 as a replacement for the Škoda 440 and 445, on which it was based. It was named Octavia because it was the eighth model of the popular car line of the brand.
It was a propulsion model, available with two gasoline 4-cylinder engines, first in sedan configuration (two doors), then in a break version (three doors) from 1961. A cabriolet named Felicia completed the offer.
The sedan was produced until 1964, when it was replaced by the 1000 MB, while the break version remained in production until 1971.

After the restyling, its finish improves thanks to numerous parts of the organ bank of Volkswagen Golf 4 and Passat.
The Octavia chassis provided a healthy but very understeerable handling that made him lacking agility.
