Špela Čadež (* January 1977 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian animation film director and film producer.

Life and work
After graduating in Visual Communication Design (2002) in Ljubljana, she continued her studies at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Cologne in the Department of Media Design.
In Cologne she made the films "Zasukanec" and "Liebeskrank"; which were shown at over a hundred festivals all over the world and awarded with over 30 prizes. Since 2008, Špela Čadež has worked in Slovenia as an animated film director and producer.

In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which annually awards the Oscars.
