(minuscule: ) is an additional Latin letter, used in the writing of Maronite Cypriot Arabic, buang mapos, Maltese, inupiak and in certain ALA-LC and ISO Romanizations.
This is the letter G diacrited with a point above.
Use
In inupiak, represents a silver consonant seen uvular .
The above G point was formerly used in Irish writing, which now uses the diagram.
In Maltese, it is the seventh letter of the alphabet, located between F and G. It has the sound.
In ALA-LC romanization, transliteration:
the vertical ka bar of the Azeri written with the Cyrillic alphabet;
the Georgian alphabet ghan;
the dje of Romanian written with the Cyrillic alphabet;
the Ottoman Turkish's "ayn";
the ga of the literary oirate or kalmouk written with the todo bithig.
The above-mentioned g point is also used to transcribe the Arabic script in the novelization DIN 31635 and the romanization ISO 233.
In ISO 9:1995, transliterates the ghai of the Cyrillic alphabet.
In ISO 9985:1996, it transliterates the ghat of the Armenian.
