### Early Life and Career

Željko Mitraković was born on 30 December 1972 in Črnuče, SFR Yugoslavia.

### Club Career

Mitraković began his career at ND Črnuče. In 1991 he left his hometown Črnuče and started his professional career with NK Koper. At his first professional station, he came to 80 games in six years and scored eight goals. In July 1996 he left the NK Koper and went to NK HIT Gorica. After making 106 appearances for HIT Gorica in four years, he tried his luck in Belgium at KSC Lokeren from January 2000. However, he could not get a foothold at Lokeren and returned to Slovenia in June 2000. He then signed a contract with Primorje Ajdovščina for the 2000/01 season. Until his move to NK Domžale in the summer of 2002, he played 54 games for NK Primorje and scored four goals. He played at Domžale until the winter break of the 2004/05 season and joined the Marfin Laiki League club Ethnikos Achnas in spring 2005.

### International Career

Between 1998 and 2004, Mitraković earned seven appearances for the Slovenian national team.

### Later Career

After only ten games in Cyprus with Ethnikos Achnas, he moved to NK Ivančna Gorica. He also played for other clubs including NK Bela Krajina, NK Olimpija Ljubljana (2005), and NK Triglav Kranj.
